Design Lacquer Collection
All items in our Designer Lacquer Collection are handmade using natural, organic lacquer sap. To harvest the material, the lacquer tree is tapped in the early morning hours much like maple syrup is harvested from a maple tree. The natural lacquer is then processed and painted on its base shape in as many as 20 layers with each hand-polished before the next lacquer is applied by hand. These handmade and hand-polished items are both durable and food safe, offering a perfect desk accessory whether they are used to hold paper or filled with candy.
